Cloakbox Changing Gateways

The default configuration for WiTopia's Cloakbox™ service is to utilize DNS (Domain Name System) to randomly connect you to one of WiTopia's Secure Internet Gateways. This is just the default configuration for all CloakBoxes we ship. This may not be the closest server to you, or the best option for your specific needs. We also have available alternate port servers you can use if the UDP protocol is blocked.

When you received your Cloakbox, you should have received a welcome letter, within that letter are some important details needed for logging in and changing your Cloakbox. Here is a sample:

1. Using the login information provided in your welcome letter, log into your Cloakbox using your favorite web browser.

2. Click on the Services tab:

3. Then the VPN sub-tab as shown below:

4. Scroll down the page until you reach the section OpenVPN Client as shown:

5. Change the following (we'll use Manchester, UK in our example: CLICK HERE FOR OPTIONS

Server IP/Name: from vpn.witopia.net to vpn.man.witopia.net

6. Then click "Save", "Apply", then "Reboot" the Cloakbox.
